ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATION OR AGE

The eligibility criteria of RRB NTPC is given below in terms of age and educational qualification. For 7th CPC Level 2 and 3 undergraduate level posts, candidates should be between 18 to 30 years as on July 1, 2019. For under graduate post(candidate must have past 12th .For graduate post candidate must be a graduate posts candidates must be a graduate from a recognized post university

For CPC Level 4, 5 and 6 (Graduate level Posts), the age of candidates should be between 18 to 33 years as on July 1, 2019

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced RRB NTPC 2020 notification under Centralized Employment notice no. CEN 01/2019. The exam is conducted to select candidates for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) graduate and undergraduate posts in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. The posts included under RRB NTPC are given below:

• Under Graduate Posts with Minimum Educational Qualification of 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent examination and Age between 18 to 30 Years as on 01.07.2020

• Graduate Posts with Minimum Educational Qualification of a University Degree or its equivalent and Age between 18 to 33 Years as on 01.07.2020

Step 3 select the RRB to which you wish to apply

Step 4 RRB once selected cannot be changed after the preliminary registration is completed and registration number is allotted

Step 4 confirm that you have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the check box

Registration Details: Enter your name, Date of Birth and Father‘s name, Mother‘s Name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric Roll Number, Year of Passing, Mobile Number and email-ID and then submit for registration. Before submitting for registration, ensure and confirm that all the information given in the application form are correct. The email and mobile number will be verified during the Online Application process with a One Time Password (OTP).

Step 2 In Part I of the application page, enter Educational Qualification, Community, Gender, Religion, Ex-SM, PwD, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation eligibility category and other details.

Exam Pattern and Selection

The recruitment process shall involve 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination. Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of above mentioned recruitment stages.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2020 for Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

The CBAT is conducted for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master. The questions and answer options will be in English and Hindi. There is no negative marking in CBAT. In this test, candidates are given different test batteries consisting of five-six tests as per the posts.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Typing Skill Test

The typing skill test is conducted for the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper. The test is qualifying in nature. Candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Computer. Candidates cannot use editing tool and spell check facility.

Marking scheme of RRB NTPC

For correct answer, candidates will get one mark.

There is negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

The marks of each session of the test will be normalized since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions.

Normalization of marks is done to adjust the difficulty of question papers.
